Notes

Only works on secure (https) servers

Bugs

IE9 appears to have some issues in correctly determining longitude/latitude.
iOS6 has problems with returning high accuracy data.
Safari 5 & 6 seem to not provide geolocation data when using a wired connection.
Firefox 52 and below had a permission dialog with an additional "not now" option. This option postponed the permission decision until later and therefore deliberately did not call any callbacks, see bug
