This feature is well established and works across many devices and browser versions. It’s been available across browsers since July 2015.
The rows property of the HTMLTextAreaElement interface is a positive integer representing the visible text lines of the text control. It reflects the <textarea> element's rows attribute.
A positive integer. Defaults to 2.
