This feature is well established and works across many devices and browser versions. It’s been available across browsers since July 2015.
The pauseOnExit property of the TextTrackCue interface returns or sets the flag indicating whether playback of the media should pause when the end of the range to which this cue applies is reached.
A Boolean, true if the media will pause.
