getprotobynumber — Get protocol name associated with protocol number

Description

getprotobynumber ( int $number ) : string|false

getprotobynumber() returns the protocol name associated with protocol number as per /etc/protocols.

Parameters

number: The protocol number.

Return Values

Returns the protocol name as a string, or false on failure.
