DocumentType: remove() method

This feature is well established and works across many devices and browser versions. It’s been available across browsers since ⁨July 2015⁩.

The DocumentType.remove() method removes a document's doctype. If it is already detached from the document, calling remove() does nothing.

Syntax

remove()

Parameters

None.

Return value

None (undefined).

document.doctype.remove();
document.doctype; // null
