class ActiveSupport::TimeWithZone

Parent:
Object

A Time-like class that can represent a time in any time zone. Necessary because standard Ruby Time instances are limited to UTC and the system's ENV['TZ'] zone.

You shouldn't ever need to create a TimeWithZone instance directly via new. Instead use methods local, parse, at and now on TimeZone instances, and in_time_zone on Time and DateTime instances.

TimeWithZone instances implement the same API as Ruby Time instances, so that Time and TimeWithZone instances are interchangeable.

Returns a new ActiveSupport::TimeWithZone where one or more of the elements have been changed according to the options parameter. The time options (:hour, :min, :sec, :usec, :nsec) reset cascadingly, so if only the hour is passed, then minute, sec, usec and nsec is set to 0. If the hour and minute is passed, then sec, usec and nsec is set to 0. The options parameter takes a hash with any of these keys: :year, :month, :day, :hour, :min, :sec, :usec, :nsec, :offset, :zone.
